What We Do
We provide practical, evidence-guided education and training in palliative care for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, and healthcare practitioners.
We also offer clinical attachments, international training opportunities, and support for audits and research. Our research focuses on improving care quality by evaluating outcomes and understanding the needs of patients, families, and caregivers.
Senior members of the clinical team teach at major medical schools, supported by hands-on attachments. Many palliative care specialist trainees complete their community training through a six-month placement with us. We also support the Ministry of Health in advancing the national palliative care ecosystem.
Each year, we run workshops and webinars on various aspects of palliative care in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care Network (APHN). As a leading palliative care organisation in the country, we are regularly looking to strengthen our knowledge sharing and training capabilities. In recent years, we also collaborate with the Universiti Malaya to organise a symposium on paediatric palliative care. These programmes attract healthcare professionals from Malaysia and the wider region.
Through education, training, and research, we help build capable, compassionate palliative care practitioners.
