This module explores the complex issues surrounding loss, grief, and bereavement experienced by patients and their families. In the context of critical care, it’s essential for healthcare professionals to understand the grieving process, maintain self-awareness, and develop the skills needed to support grief management. Doing so helps foster a more supportive and healing environment for both patients and their loved ones.
The two-day interactive workshop is led by Professor Amy Chow and Dr. Margaret Suen from the University of Hong Kong, offering a dynamic and engaging learning experience. It is particularly beneficial for clinicians, psychologists, and counsellors involved in palliative care and end-of-life support.
