Hospis Malaysia Foundation Workshop (in collaboration with APHN) : 19 - 22 June 2010
This 4-day workshop is a joint collaboration between Hospis Malaysia and the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN).Ever since 2006 when the Ministry of Health introduced Palliative Care as a clinical speciality,palliative care and end-of-life issues have gained significant recognition in our healthcare system.
Our Foundation Workshop aims to provide doctors and senior nurses with an overview of palliative care,focussing on clinical assessment, communication skills and clinical management. It is unique in that most of the teaching is done in small groups with hands-on training and patient interaction rather than straightforward didactic lectures.

Our Teaching Faculty comprises of an experienced pool of palliative care consultants/specialists/experts sourced from New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
