PC 5: Grief & Bereavement Care: 18 - 19 December 2010
Module 5 on Grief and Bereavement Care concludes our final series of palliative workshops for the year.
This workshop is designed to facilitate the process of adaptation to loss and greatly relieve suffering within the critical care setting by focusing on end-of life needs. Caregivers can provide support to patients experiencing death anxiety and stress of cumulative loss, thereby creating a more healing environment to patients and their families.
This workshop is a very intense and engaging experience as working with dying patients and their families requires awareness of the process of grief and also own self awareness issues.
